Darrel “Doc” R. Hook, 68, of Morrison, IL, died Saturday, November 19, 2022, at his home.
Darrel was born February 22, 1954, in Clinton, IA, to Robert V. and Shirley (Krammer) Hook. He attended the Albany, and Fulton, IL, grade schools and was a graduate of Fulton High School. Darrel worked as a set-up man at Timken Drives in Fulton for many years. He was also employed as an over-the-road truck driver for 16 years, and most recently he delivered newspapers. Darrel enjoyed playing pool, and he loved cars.
Survivors include his daughters, Angie (Josh) Dykstra and Casey Hook, both of Morrison; sons, Michael (Elyse Logan) Hook of Clinton, and Joseph (Lorilee Hutson) Hook of Morrison; four grandchildren, Alexandria, Kyle, Summer, and Leo; sister, Carolyn Thomas of Erie, IL; brothers, Wayne (Soni) Hook and Robert (Tina) Hook, both of Fulton; his significant other, Sandy Keeling.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Connie Barry.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at the Morrison Chapel of Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
