Resthave Care & Rehabilitation, 408 Maple Avenue, Morrison, IL, celebrated Halloween on Thursday, October 27, and Friday, October 28, 2022.

On Thursday Resthave held a Costume Parade, so children could show off their costume, with a chance to win a “Golden Ticket” for one-of-ten best costumes. Golden Tickets earned the participant additional candy; a giant Kit Kat bar; an ice cream token at Happy Joe’s Pizza; a stuffed bear that said “Congratulations;” a coupon for a Little Joe pizza which Happy Joe’s donated for the event; more!

Everyone who came to the event received candy, non-permanent tattoos, stickers, a stuffed toy, crayons, an item to color, and more.

Although it was a little chilly for the event, several Seniors came outside. Trick-or-Treaters stopped to wave at the windows both indoors and outside. Pictured left-to-right, in front are Jean Temple, Kathryn Janssen, and Don Vanderleest; in back are Loretta Temple and Orville Goodenough.

The parking lot was divided with traffic cones to construct a parade route.

On Friday, residents celebrated by playing games, voting for their favorite Staff costume, and enjoying pumpkin cookies and punch.
