The fifth annual Women’s March is the weekend of October 7-9, with marches planned for Saturday, October 8, 2022.
The Women’s Wave is almost, here, with 345 marches planned from Hawaii to Maine and everywhere in between. Thousands of marchers are ready to take to the streets in a Women’s Wave, that can wash out anti-choice Republicans in November [elections.]
A local Roe Your Vote Women’s March will hold a two-City rally on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., starting in Sterling, IL. The March/rally begins at the peace pole, at the Grandon Civic Center, 212 E. 4th Street, at 1:00. The gathering is in conjunction with the National Organization Women’s March in Washington, D. C.
There will be speakers to encourage voters to choose political candidates who support women’s reproductive rights and options. Roe Your Vote message signs and t-shirts are also encouraged. Then, attendees will walk or drive–about one mile–to the Rock Falls, IL, park on E. Second Street, gathering at the peace pole along the riverfront. Note: If you choose to walk to Rock Falls, you will need to walk back to your vehicle.
Everyone who supports a woman’s right to choose is welcome to join the Roe Your Vote Women’s March.
