Rotary Pollinator Garden Thrives

Over several months in 2022, Rotary Club of Morrison, IL, prepared a patch unused ground and built a Pollinator Garden. Operation Pollination and the Bee and Butterfly Habitat Fund provided grant funding for the seeds. Their goal is to benefit pollinators and other wildlife.

Although the ground had been prepared, there was not much to see “above ground” in April or on Saturday, May 28 (second and third photos.)

By Monday, July 18, greenness covered this area on the south side of W. Winfield Street.

Thursday, September 29, displayed a different message, even as the burst of spring and summer blooms had faded. A Cabbage White, Butterfly enjoyed sunshine in the garden.
