On Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 11:07 p.m., Whiteside County Deputies responded to the area of Prophetstown Road near Gaulrapp Road in rural Rock Falls, IL, for a single-vehicle traffic crash. Upon further investigation, a Dodge Charger was traveling northbound on Prophetstown Road, lost control, and entered the east ditch, causing it to roll several times. As a result of the crash, Damien K. Martin, age 32 of Prophetstown, IL, Antonio L. Caudillo, age 27 of Rock Falls, and Zachary N. McCloud, age 29 of Sterling, IL, were pronounced deceased. The crash remains under investigation.
The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Illinois State Police, Tampico Fire Department, Rock Falls Police Department, Tampico EMS, Yorktown Fire Department, and the Whiteside County Corner.
