Rebecca L. “Becky” Lester, 59 of Morrison, IL, died Saturday, June 25, 2022.
She was born on May 21, 1963, in Sterling, IL, the daughter of Donald and Carol (Williams) Howard. She attended Sterling High School. Becky married Steven Lester on May 24, 1986, in Sterling. She had worked at the former Tammerlane as a Cook. Later she worked at Citadel of Sterling in housekeeping until her death. Becky’s grandchildren were her life. She had enjoyed camping and attending Who Else Club events.
Survivors include her husband, Steven; children, Lucas Howard (Lindsay Lopez), Spring Lester (Steve Schick), and Justin (Carmelita) Lester all of Rock Falls, IL, and Casey (Carrie) Lester of Roscoe, IL; mother Carol Howard of Lyndon, IL, sisters, Michelle (Charlie) Inman of Morrison, Bonnie Creek of Dixon, IL, Crystal Kuehl of Morrison, and Sue Hill of Burlington, IA; brothers, James (Charity) Howard of Rock Falls and Glen Howard of Lyndon; ten grandchildren, Hannah, Zoie, Stevie, James, Emma, Ember, Sophia, Cecilia, Miles, and Lucas, Jr. ”Bear.”
She was preceded in death by her father and her son, James Michael Howard.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, IL.
