The Department of Fun invites residents to a Memorial Day Block Party, Monday, May 30, 2022, from noon to 4:00 p.m. Celebrate completion of the E. 300 block of Main Street, from N. Madison Street to Clinton Street, Morrison, IL. DOF Committee members included: Amanda Cook, Brandy Darby, Faith Rumfelt, Leann Schaefer, Christina Wetzel, Brad Yaklich, and Elizabeth Yaklich.
There will be fun for the family, including a bags tournament; live music and a DJ; bounce houses; raffle; games; a carnival; face painting.
Grilled Sullivan’s hot dogs will be prepared by the Chamber; a sandwich, chips, and a drink are $5. Proceeds benefit the Chamber of Commerce.
While downtown, stop at the noon for the American Legion Post 328 Ribbon Cutting and Open House. The address is 306 E. Main Street.
