The return of the Morrison Community Unit School District #6 and CAPA Art Show is this weekend, Saturday, May 14, and Sunday, May 15, 2022. “We had two years without the Spring Art Show, due to COVID-19,” he noted. Come experience a plethora of creative endeavors by students in Kindergarten through 12th grade.
Spring into the Arts will include Southside Elementary students in musical performances on Saturday.
Music Teacher Samantha Scholl reported, “As part of the Art Show, on Saturday, May 14, 3rd and 4th graders will play short recorder concerts, on the half-hour from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 pm. The music will showcase the skills they have learned on recorder this year. Fourth grade will build upon the foundations of what they learned in Third grade and play new songs, with new notes and more difficulty.
“There will be a mix of music from songs about spring, a space adventure, and a little Christmas in May”.
