2022 Easter Egg Hunts

Listed chronologically are nine April Easter Egg Hunts, scheduled by these hosts in  Dixon, Lyndon, and Morrison, IL.

SATURDAY, APRIL 9

Crossroads Community Church-Morrison Campus, 201 W. Market Street, has planned an “Egg-stra Special Community Scavenger Hunt,” from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., with prize drawings at 3:00.  Start at Crossroads Community Church; search throughout the town; return to the church at 3:00.  All children through 5th grade are invited.  Snacks will be available for children.  Prizes included two Fire Tablets, outside toys, games, and more!

Kiwanis Club/MHS Key Club will hold the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Kiwanis Park, in the 700 block of N. Genesee Street, on Saturday, April 9, for all area children through age nine.  Face masks are encouraged.  There are four age groups:  2 and under; 3 and 4; 5 and 6; 7-to-9.  Morrison Fire Department will deliver the Easter Bunny at 9:45 a.m.  There will be a brief opportunity to capture a photo, before egg-gathering begins at 10:00.  Bring a container for each child.  Non-sugar treats can be substituted after the egg hunt.  Please empty eggs to check for prize notes.  Return eggs to Kiwanis containers for recycling next year.

Pleasant View Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, 500 N. Jackson Street, will hold the annual Pleasant View Easter Egg Hunt, on Saturday, April 9, starting at 1:30 p.m., for all ages of children.  Registration begins at 1:00.  Bikes, baskets, and certificates also will be awarded.  The Easter Bunny will be available for photographs during the event.

Spring Valley Reformed Church, 10960 Spring Valley Road, will host the annual Easter Egg Hunt for all area children, on Saturday, April 9.  Games, prizes, and photos with the Easter Bunny begin at 1:00 p.m., and the hunts start at 1:30.  Areas will be set for different ages:  0 to 4; 5 and 6; 7 and 8; 9 and 10.

FRIDAY, APRIL 15

Homestead of Morrison, 403 Scenic Street (formerly Windsor Manor Assisted Living Community), invites children ages 0-to-12 to an Easter Egg Hunt, at 3:00 p.m., on Friday, April 15, 2022.  Gather in front of the building to be split into three age groups; each group will have a chance to win a bicycle.

Resthave Care & Rehabilitation, 408 Maple Avenue, hosts their annual Resthave Easter Egg Hunt outdoors, in the facility courtyard, on Good Friday, April 15, starting at 2:00 p.m.  Hunts will be divided by age groups:  0-to-3; 4-to-6; 7 and older.  The Easter Bunny will attend at 1:30 for photographs with children.  Prizes will be awarded along with treats.

SATURDAY, APRIL 16

Ebenezer Reformed Church, 309 E. Park Street, invites community children in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade to an Easter Egg Hunt, on Saturday, April 16, 2022.  The event will be on the lawn at the south side of the church, beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Candy and prizes will be awarded.

Turning Point CITI Church and 104.3 Life Point Radio present Egg Drop-Eggstream Easter Egg Hunt, at 944 Stony Point Road, Dixon, IL. Early attendance starting at 11:30 a.m. is encouraged. Pre-registration is required at https://www.tpointchurch.net/events. The event is free; bring a basket. Lanes with placed eggs will be set up by age groups: 1-to-4 years; 5-to-8 years); 9-to-12 years. On the premises, 60 Golden Eggs include cash prizes. A parent of registered children will win a helicopter ride! At 12:30 p.m., a drawing will be announced; winners must be present. At 1:00 p.m., over 3500 candy-filled eggs will be dropped by helicopter.

Wright’s Annual Egg Hunt begins at noon on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Richmond Park, 107 E. 6th Avenue, Lyndon, IL.  No-fee registration is 9:45 a.m. to 11:55.  John and Kodi Wright will have 30,000 eggs, stuffed with candy and prizes.  Children hunt by age group:  2 and under; 3 and 4; 5 and 6; 7 and 8; nine and over with no upper limit.  Parents may accompany their 0-2 age or special-needs children (separate field.)  Enjoy free games; meals (hot dogs, chips, and drink); prizes, including 200+ bikes, scooters, trikes, and toys.
