Trent Bush of Morrison, IL, a partner with Ward, Murray, Pace & Johnson, P.C. in Sterling, IL, has been appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court, to its Remote Proceedings Task Force. He is one-of-two practicing Attorneys appointed to the 14-member task force, chaired by 1st District Appellate Justice Mary K. Rochford. Other members include Circuit Court Judges, Associate Judges, Trial Court Administrators, Legal Services representatives, and Court Administrative Officers.
Bush was also reappointed to the Illinois Supreme Court’s Website Task Force. He was originally appointed in 2019. The Website Task Force was charged with a revamp of the Court’s website and online content. The new site was launched in June 2021 and can be found at www.illinoiscourts.gov. He is the only practicing Attorney on the 13-member task force, chaired by 19th Circuit Judge Dan Shanes. Other members include Illinois Supreme Court Chief Justice Anne Burke, Illinois Supreme Court Justice Mary Jane Theis, Legal Services representatives, and Court Administrative Officers.
In addition, Trent Bush continues to serve on the Illinois Supreme Court’s standing e-Business Advisory Board. The purpose of the board is to provide recommendations, advice, and guidance to the Supreme Court and its Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, regarding implementation of e-Business applications and data exchanges in Illinois Circuit Courts. He is one of two practicing Attorneys appointed to the board.
He served on the Illinois State Bar Association’s Committee on Legal Technology since 2002 and was its Chair in 2009 and 2020. He represents businesses and individuals in a variety of matters. He is also actively involved in a variety of community organizations.
