Beautiful Quilt and Afghan in MCH Foundation Silent Auction

Posted by

The Morrison Community Hospital Foundation is pleased to showcase two of the items that have been donated to the Board, for use at its Silent Auction.  Online bidding is taking place from now until 5:00 p.m., Saturday, December 4.

These items and many others can be found by going onto mchf.cbo.io and scrolling down to view the items.

Special thanks to the River Cities Quilters’ Guild for the generous donation of a beautiful quilt for our silent auction.  This beautiful quilt will easily cover a queen-sized bed with a foot board, or fully cover a full mattress.  Special thanks to Country at Heart south of Rock Falls, IL, for the discounted fabric used in this quilt.

Guild members presented the quilt to MCH Foundation Board members Mick Welding, Amanda Cook, and Rich Criss.  They were Cheryl Edwards, Rebecca Koster, LaVonne Huizenga, and Sandy Shetler.

Also featured in this Silent Auction is a beautiful hand-knitted afghan with two coordinating pillows.  This beautiful afghan took donor Cornelia Drolema nearly eight months to complete; it features several different stitch patterns.  Truly an heirloom, the afghan and pillows will provide warmth during cold winter days ahead and for many years.

Cornelia Drolema, right, is shown donating the afghan and pillows she made to MCH Foundation Board member Sandi Wilkens.
