For 112 years this month [November 2021], CGH Medical Center, 101 E. Miller Road, Sterling, IL, has met the healthcare needs of the Sauk Valley. The hospital endured many challenges: the Spanish Flu (1918); H2N2 flu (1957); H3N2 flu (1968); swine H1N1 flu (2009); COVID-19 (2020+); polio; other widespread infections.
The strength of our communities and our Physicians, Nurses, Staff, and volunteers are a testament to those with us today, and those who came before us. The past 112 years have taught us many lessons, and 2021 has been no exception.
As we look to the next chapter in our history, CGH Medical Center will embrace these opportunities and remain devoted to providing the best possible care to our patients now and into the future.
Happy 112th Birthday, CGH!
