State Representative Tony McCombie is partnering with Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, to host a free, community paper shredding event, on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Times are 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., at 211 Locust Street, Sterling, IL. The location is Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce parking lot.
Residents simply need to drive up. Volunteers unload the documents that will be fed into a large document-shredding truck. Please remove binder clips from items to be shredded. Park-and-watch spots are available, for those who want to observe their documents being shredded.

Those numbers indicate that most Americans have either been a victim of identity theft themselves or known someone who has. Keeping up on safe disposal of paperwork with identifying personal or confidential information is an important step to prevent identity theft.”
