Participants have been reordered from the way they processed, beginning at the GE Appliance Control Department parking lot. The route was east on W. Wall Street and south on Genesee Street, to Morrison High School on Genesee Avenue. One could not have ordered a more perfect late-summer afternoon for the 3:00 p.m. Homecoming Parade, held Friday, October 1, 2021.
Pons were an early entry of the convoy. The finale was Football teams escorted atop Morrison Fire Department tankers: Fresh-Soph and Varsity, respectively.
Resthave Care & Rehabilitation Queen and King honorees were Carol Macke and Doc Venema.
The High School Royalty–Tanna Fredrick and Beau Brackemeyer–included Prince Connor Hemphill and Princess Emma Nohai. There were four pairs of Senior members of the Homecoming Court, and one pair from the Junior, Sophomore, and Freshman Classes, respectively.
Viola Schmidmeier, an Exchange Student from Germany, was a special member of the parade. She said schools in her homeland have nothing like this long-standing Morrison tradition.
