Syndi Rensimer

Syndi Rensimer, Coder/Transcriptionist in the Health Information Management department, recently passed her Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam.  She is employed at Morrison Community Hospital.

According to the American Academy of Professional Coders website, “AAPC’s Certified Professional Coder (CPC®) credential is the gold standard for medical coding in physician office settings and [is] held by more than 80,000 coding professionals.”

“Certified Professional Coder [earners have] proven by rigorous examination and experience that they know how to read a medical chart and assign the correct diagnosis (ICD-9), procedure (CPT®), and supply (HCPCS Level II) code for a wide variety of clinical cases and services.”

Rensimer dedicated many hours of class time along with homework in attaining this certification.
