Thomas M. Gramer Died in Crash July 11

Editor’s note:  This notice from the Whiteside Sheriff’s Office was submitted while the Editor was on vacation.  It is posted now as a public record.

On 7/11/21 at 2:28 p.m., the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office received a call, reporting a crash on the U. S. Route 30 Mississippi River Bridge, involving two vehicles.  One was a semi tractor-trailer.  Upon investigation of the crash, it was determined that a pick-up truck was traveling westbound and crossed the center lines, striking an eastbound semi tractor-trailer nearly head-on.  The driver of the pick-up was pronounced deceased on scene.  The deceased was Thomas M. Gramer, age 71 of Fulton, IL.  Joel A. Blottenberger, age 45 of Dixon, IL, was driving the semi tractor-trailer.  Neither he nor his passenger, Heather A. Selden, age 49 of Dixon, were injured in the crash.
