In order to deliver the Red Cross mission, Lincoln Land Branch of the American Red Cross will host a single fundraising event this year–the first “World Tour of Taste.” This event is Friday, February 28, 2014, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., at the gorgeous Rock River Supper Club, 3901 Dixon Road, Rock Falls, IL. Guests will sample great wines and beers as well as food from a variety of area restaurants and caterers, while on a world tour. In addition, they will enjoy the sounds of “Phoenix Rising.”

“Travelers” (guests) will join the American Red Cross for an international extravaganza, without leaving Whiteside County! Their journey will take them through days gone by in the history of the American Red Cross to the present; all the while, providing samples of food and beverages of faraway lands and nearby favorites. Participants will see new horizons and have the chance to bid on the luxuries at the auctions–live, silen,t and dessert–as well as raffle items.
Travel agents and tour guides (Red Cross staff and volunteers) will be sure to remind participants to have their “World Tour of Taste” passport stamped at each tour stop (food/beverage station.) Upon reaching the final destination, full passports will be collected for a chance to win a prize.
