The Morrison High School Music Department is proud to announce the cast for its spring production of “The Wizard of Oz,” which will be presented on Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10, 2014. According to Director Megan Zahora, the auditions were very competitive, and the cast is a strong one.
Senior Morgan McCulloh, standing above surrounded by the Emerald City Munchkins, is cast in the lead role of Dorothy. Portraying her three companions on the Yellow Brick Road to Oz will be Senior Kurtis Klimson as the Scarecrow; Sophomore Kyle McCoy as the Tin Man; Senior Robb Stone as the Cowardly Lion. Junior Isabel Vander Bleek will play the Wicked Witch, while Freshmen Allison Houldsen will play Glinda, the Good Witch.
Other familiar characters include Eric Sipes as the Wizard, Kelsey Middletion as Auntie Em, Zach Osborn as Uncle Henry, Joy Sipes as the Munchkin Mayor, and Andrew Rinker as the Gate Keeper.
Rounding out the cast are Kelsey Becker, Sydney Beveroth, Ashley Hagerman, Holly Johnson, Nicholas Kaufman, Abbie Kull, Rachel Magana, Kaleb McCoy, Molly Mickley, Derek Montague, Erin Nelson, Cassie Osborn, Paige Shirk, Chloe Stingley, John Taylor, Tessa Vander Bleek, Emily Wallander, and Allie Wiersema.
Working with Zahora will be Assistant Director Rob Stone, Choreographer Tyler Smith, and David Bean, Pit Band and Technical Director.
