Linda L. Schaefer, 71, of Morrison, IL, died Saturday, February 8, 2014, at her home.
Linda was born September 3, 1942, in Anamosa, IA, to Woodrow P. and Georgia R. (Duffy) Coppess. She was a 1960 graduate of Oxford Junction High School in Oxford Junction, IA. Linda married Archie E. Schaefer on July 21, 1962, in Oxford Junction. She was employed at the Morrison Hospital in Morrison; International Paper in Clinton, IA; General Electric in Morrison. She retired in 2011 from Wahl Clipper in Sterling, IL. Linda was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Morrison. Linda’s life revolved around her family and her dog, Zoey.
Survivors include two daughters, Michele (Scott) Lindeman of Morrison and Melisa (Eric) Fountain of Hoffman Estates, IL; three sons, Michael (Andrea) Schaefer of Clinton, Mark (Cindy) Schaefer of Paducah, KY, and Matt Schaefer of Perry, IA; 13 grandchildren, Erica Howard, Eric Fountain, Jr., Chantel Fountain, Shawn Schaefer, Arlene (Ryan) Wiersema, Scott Schaefer, Chelsea Havens, Dustin Williams, Chelsea Williams, Kevin Howe, Nadia Schaefer, Darion Schaefer, and Drake Schaefer; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lois (Jim) Baresel of Camanche, IA; Rose Kann of Guttenberg, IA; Mary Simonsen of Cedar Rapids, IA; Margaret (David) Pringle of Apache Junction, AZ; four brothers, Larry (Darla) Coppess of Camanche, Thomas (Mike Koch) Coppess of Moline, IL, Steven (Linda) Coppess of Clinton, and Phillip (Loretta) Coppess of Clinton; Aunt Helen and Uncle Gerald; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Arrangements are pending at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
