On Saturday, January 4, 2014, Wes Tharp submitted this photograph of a quartet of Canada geese skimming the Mississippi River.
Tharp stated, “I saw you were looking for winter pictures….I came across this picture from late December [2013 or] early January [2014], and thought you could use it. Mike Garland (my photography mentor), my oldest daughter, Autumn, and I went out looking for eagles to take pictures of. I shot this on that cold frigid day at the Lock and Dam 14.”
