On Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at approximately 3:50 p.m., Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a two-vehicle collision on Illinois Route 30 near the intersection of Hillside Road, west of Morrison, IL.
Upon investigation it was determined that a passenger car driven by Jesse R. Jones, 22, of Morrison, IL, was traveling east on Illinois Route 30. He crossed the center line and struck head-on a pickup truck traveling west, driven by Dustin J. Funderberg, 31, of Morrison.
Jones was pronounced dead at the scene,
Funderberg as well as his passengers, Lani L. Funderberg, 66, of Morrison, and Mary M. Funderberg, 33, were transported by EMS from the scene, due to injuries.
Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Morrison Police Department, Fulton Police Department, Morrison Fire Department, Fulton Fire Department, Morrison EMS, Fulton EMS, and MEDFORCE, as well as Illinois State Police.
