dorothy bielemaDorothy M. Bielema, 88, of Resthave Nursing & Retirement Home, Morrison, IL, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Sunday, December 1, 2013, at the Home.

Dorothy was born April 4, 1925, in Fulton, to William and Agnes (Reidenga) Bielema.  She was educated in the Otter Bluff Grade School of rural Whiteside County, IL.  Dorothy was employed by the Burpee Seed Company in Clinton, IA, for 32 years.  She was a member of the Spring Valley Reformed Church in Fulton and the church’s Ladies Aid Society, and served as a Greeter and Sunday School teacher.  Dorothy enjoyed needlework and the beauty of flowers.

Survivors include one brother, Donald (Beverly) Bielema of Orion, IL; five nieces and nephews, Sandra (Jon) Challeen, James (Linda) Dykstra, Judy (Ron) Hans, Rick (Linda) Dykstra, and Thad Bielema; nine great-nieces and -nephews; two step-great-nieces and -nephews; 12 great-great-nieces and -nephews; four step-great-great-nieces and -nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Evelyn J. Dykstra.

FUNERAL SERVICE:  11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at the Fulton Chapel, Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

OFFICIATING:  Rev. Ralph Beidler, Pastor, Spring Valley Reformed Church, Fulton, IL

VISITATION:  9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at the Fulton Chapel, Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

INTERMENT:  Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, IL

MEMORIALS:  Spring Valley Reformed Church, Fulton, IL
