November 13-25 Sheriff’s Report

The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office issued the following arrest information.

11-25-13 at 02:08 a.m.  Amy E. LaShelle, age 20 of Thomson, IL, was stopped for an inoperative headlight and arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  She was released from the scene with a Notice to Appear.
 
11-24-13 at 1:50 a.m.  Hunter T. Ristau, age 19 of Sterling, IL, was arrested following a traffic stop in Rock Falls, IL, for No Front Registration Plate.  He was arrested for the registration offense as well as Driving While License Suspended and DUI – Drugs.  Passenger Jasmine T. Anderson, age 19 of Prophetstown, IL, was arrested for DUI –Drugs and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, Under 2.5 grams.  Both Ristau and Anderson were processed at the Rock Falls Police Department and released on a Notice to Appear.  Rock Falls Police and Slim-n-Hank’s Towing assisted on scene.
 
11-23-13 at 12:15 a.m.  Andrew R. Medrano, age 23 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested in Sterling, IL, on a Whiteside County Warrant for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  He was remanded at the Whiteside County Jail in lieu of bond.
 
11-23-13 at 11:47 p.m.  A 17-year-old Sterling, IL, male was stopped on Fulfs Road near Luther for speeding.  He was arrested for Speeding 82/55 MPH and No Valid Driver’s License – Graduated License Curfew Violation.  His Driver’s License was posted as bond.
 
11-23-13 at 9:10 p.m.  Zachary T. Clayton, age 23 of Rock Falls, IL, was stopped for disobeying a traffic control device in Sterling, IL.  He was arrested for that offense plus Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  His Driver’s License was posted as bond.
 
11-23-13 at 5:40 p.m.  Cory E. Ryan, age 39 of Clinton, IA, was arrested for Improper Passing – Intersection following the investigation of a crash at IL Route 84 and Garden Plain Road.  A vehicle driven by a 16-year-old Erie, IL, male was attempting to turn onto Garden Plain Road from IL Route 84, when Ryan was improperly passing within the intersection, and sideswiped Ryan’s vehicle, causing minor damage to both vehicles.  There were no occupant injuries, and the vehicles were driven from the scene. 
 
11-22-13 at 6:10 p.m.  Ryan C. Whaley, age 34 of Tampico, IL, was arrested for Improper Lane Usage and DUI – Drugs.  He was taken to the Rock Falls Police Department and processed.  After processing, he was released with a Notice to Appear in Sterling, IL, on 12-31-13 at 9:00 a.m.  Randy’s Towing assisted on scene.
 
11-19-13 at 11:45 p.m.  Renira Delachante Batts, age 30 of Clinton, IA, was arrested for two counts of DUI following a citizen’s report of a possibly impaired driver.  Renira was processed at the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and released on bond.  Morrison Police and Rick’s Towing assisted on scene.

11-18-13 at 7:57 a.m.  On Woodlawn Road, Sterling, IL, Deputies arrested Michael J. Reyes, 41 of Sterling on a Whiteside County Warrant for Contempt of Court.  Reyes posted bond on scene and was released on a Notice to Appear in Sterling Court on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at 2:30 p.m.

11-18-13 at 2:00 p.m.  In the 900 block W. 5th Street, Sterling, IL, Deputies arrested Mark J. Tyne, 35 of Sterling, on a Whiteside County Warrant for Contempt of Court.  Tyne posted bond on scene and was released on a Notice to Appear in Sterling Court on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at 2:30 p.m

11-18-13 at 10:57 p.m.  Melanie L. Seidel, age 25 of Rock Falls, IL, was stopped for speeding on Star Road near Luther Road.  She was arrested for the speeding offense (67/55 MPH) and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  Her license was posted as bond. 

11-13-13 at 1:22 p.m.  Daniel Castrejon, age 24 of Sterling, IL, and Antonio D. Prince, age 23 of Rock Falls, IL, were arrested along the Hennepin Feeder Canal for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, Under 2.5 grams.  They were transported to the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, where they were processed and released on bond.  Meanwhile, Tommie M. Edmonds, age 19 of Rock Falls, was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, 10 to 30 grams and a Minnesota Warrant for Aggravated Robbery.  He was remanded to the Whiteside County Jail without incident.  Rock Falls Police, Illinois State Police, and Williams’ Towing assisted on scene.

These arrests are merely a charge, and he/she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
