Sex Offenders’ Addresses Verified

Posted by

On Friday, October 25, 2013, Whiteside County area law enforcement agencies and Whiteside County Court Services conducted an address verification detail of all registered sex offenders in Whiteside County.

The annual verification is a requirement by the State of Illinois Statutes.

The detail involved the Sheriff’s Office, Sterling Police Department, Rock Falls Police Department, Whiteside County Probation, and additional local agencies. The coordinated effort was to verify all the offenders within the same day throughout the County and to verify that they were in compliance with the statutory requirements imposed on them.

Whiteside County has 127 registered sex offenders listed as residents. They are required to register their residences with their local Police Departments every 90 days or annually for ten years to lifetime, depending on their convictions.

There were six offenders with locations that are unknown, or they were out of compliance. Their names and information will be forwarded to the States Attorney’s Office to have charges and warrants drafted for their arrest, as required by State Statutes.  Those men are pictured left-to-right:  row 1, David L. Boyd and Troy A. Eichstadt;  row 2, Eric W. Findley and Cleo D. Geiger; row 3, Bronson D. Hughes and William R. Pitzer.
