Raymond L. Popkin, 79, of Morrison, IL, died Saturday, October 12, 2013, at Rochelle Gardens.
Raymond was born October 23, 1933, in Morrison, the son of John and Louise (Rosenow) Popkin. He served in the Army and worked at Vock Distributing for 25 years. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Morrison. He was a past member of Morrison American Legion.
Survivors include two sisters, Betty Harridge of Morrison and Nancy (Joe) McCallister of Rock Falls, IL; two brothers, Vernon (Bernice) Popkin of Savanna, IL, and Arnold (Virginia) Popkin of Morrison; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John and Alvin.
Graveside services with military honors will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL, with the Rev. Mark Winkelman officiating.
A memorial has been established to St. Peter Lutheran Church in Morrison, IL.
