The annual Halloween Parade and Fun Fair, co-sponsored by Cottonwood 4-H Club and Morrison Chamber of Commerce, will delight children and adults on Saturday, October 26, 2013. Jenny, Snow White-Jovie, and William Patton of Morrison, IL, enjoyed the parade in 2012.
Treat bags will be given to the first 300 children.
Line up for the parade at Community State Bank, 220 E. Main Street, Morrison, at 1:00 p.m. If you wish to have your costume judged, be sure to be lined up by 1:15.
The parade begins at 1:30 and will process to the Post Office, 226 W. Main Street, where prizes will be awarded. Prizes will be given for each category and age group:
- 0 to 3 years Most Original Costume
- 4 to 7 years Cutest Costume
- 8 to 12 years Scariest/Funniest Costume
In addition, the Best Group prize with two or more children aged 0 to 12 years will be awarded in three age categories.
After the awards, the Fun Fair begins in the same area, with many great, free, games and prizes. Some include Rock Monster, Duck Pond, Spin-a-Prize, and Lollipop Tree.
