A bake-off using flour ground from Fulton’s Dutch windmill will be held Friday, October 4, and Saturday, October 5, 2013, at the Windmill Cultural Center.
For $10, participants now can pick up a registration form and their choice of bagged flour from the Windmill Cultural Center.
Registration forms also are available online at www.cityoffulton.us.
Flour choices include wheat, rye, buckwheat, or corn.
Two like baked items are to be returned on Friday, October 4, between 10:00 a.m. and Noon. One item will be for judging and sampling, and the other item will be used for a bake sale on Saturday, October 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., as part of the Fall Festival event.
Items submitted must not require heat or refrigeration. Recipes must accompany an entry and will become the property of the Windmill Cultural Center for publication in a recipe booklet. Proceeds from the sale will be used for educational programming.
