08-26-13 at 12:01 p.m. Mark T. Duncan, age 56 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested by Deputies following a property damage crash that occurred at U. S. Route 30 and Prophet Road. Mark was driving recklessly before the crash occurred, according to occupants, and slid into the stop sign at that intersection. Following the crash, Mark took off eastbound and crashed into a building at 1301 W. Route 30, which was handled by the Rock Falls Police Department. Mark was cited by the Sheriff’s Office for Too Fast for Conditions, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Crash, and Driving While License Revoked.
08-22-13 at 11:56 p.m. Richard W. Short, age 45 of Sterling, IL, was arrested at Pilgrim and Luther Roads for two counts of DUI and Failure to Signal as Required. He was processed at the Rock Falls Police Department and released on bond, pending a future court date. Slim-n-Hank’s Towing assisted on scene.
08-22-13 at 3:15 p.m. Deputies arrested Robert H. Stouffer, 69 Sterling, IL, on a Whiteside County warrant for Contempt of Court. Stouffer was
stopped on Buell Road, Rock Falls, IL, for a minor traffic offense near Knief Road, when it was discovered he was wanted. Stouffer posted the $300 cash bond on scene, and was released on a Notice to Appear in Sterling Court on Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at 9:00 a.m.
08-22-13 at 1:25 a.m. Kevin Hager, age 54 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested at Lindy Avenue and W. 18th Street, Rock Falls for Expired Registration, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Driving While License Revoked. He posted the required bond and was released. Rock Falls Police and Williams’ Towing assisted on scene.
08-21-13 at 11:55 p.m. Andrea Willie, age 39 of Sterling, IL, was arrested at Route 40 and E. 4th Street, Sterling, for an active Carroll County Warrant for Fraud. She was transported to the Rock Falls Police Department, where she posted the required bond and was released pending a future Carroll County Court date. Sterling Police assisted on scene.
08-21-13 at 11:20 p.m. Michael S. Anderson, age 25 of Sterling, IL, was stopped for no front registration plate on 12th Avenue near Lawrence Park. He
was subsequently arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. His Driver’s License was posted as bond.
These arrests are merely a charge, and he/she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
