Rotary Honors Teacher at Harvest Hammer

Posted by

Morrison, IL, residents experienced a significant loss when Pam Bush lost her battle to cancer earlier this year.  For the past 25 years she was an important part of the Harvest Hammer 5K Run and Duathlon, by getting the children of Morrison ready for their events.

In her memory, Rotary will award a Pam Bush Memorial plaque to the first place boy and girl in each race.  Two Rotarians who hand craft the Duathlon awards will also make these special plaques.

This year’s event will be Saturday, September 21, 2013, with the Children’s races beginning at 8:15 a.m. and the 5K/Duathlon starting at 9:00.  Team and individual events take place at Morrison High School, 643 Genesee Avenue, Morrison.

Funds raised come back to the community in the form of scholarships and community service projects.
