Morrison Police Chief Brian Melton reports the following arrests made and citations issued since Friday, August 2, 2013.
The following Arrests are reported.
On Sunday, August 4, 2013, at approximately 5:35 p.m., Morrison Police received a complaint of a possible impaired driver leaving a campground near Lyndon, IL. The complainant provided Police with a description of the vehicle. Morrison Police then observed a vehicle matching the description traveling northbound on IL Route 78, just south of Morrison, IL. After observing the vehicle, Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on Genesee Avenue in Morrison for at least one moving violation. As a result of the investigation, the driver, Rachel M. Tucker, age 32 of Morrison, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Improper Lane Usage. Tucker was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, was processed and then released with a Notice to Appear for Wednesday, September 12, 2013.
On Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at approximately 7:33 a.m., Morrison Police responded to a complaint of Retail Theft at Sullivan’s Foods, Morrison, IL. As a result of the investigation, Anthoni J. Patten, age 18 of Morrison, was arrested for Retail Theft. Patten was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, was processed and then released with a Notice to Appear on Monday, September 9, 2013.
On Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at approximately 8:40 a.m., Morrison Police arrested Marshall Smith, age 28 of Morrison, IL, pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Whiteside County, charging Smith with Possession Drug Paraphernalia – Failure to Appear. Smith was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, was processed and then released after posting the required cash bond.
