On Wednesday, May 5, 2021, 24 students were inducted into Morrison High School’s chapter of the National Honor Society, during an evening ceremony in the High School Auditorium. Students were selected based on academic credentials (GPA of 3.5 or higher); leadership in school and community activities; solid character; service to others.
New inductees consisted of 21 Juniors and three Seniors.
Ten Morrison High School Seniors, who were selected last year as Juniors, took active roles in this year’s ceremony. They included Chloe Bielema, Jazmine Callan, Abigail Coons, Anthony Fulton, Emily Henson, Anna Mickley, Thomas (T. C.) Ottens, Anna Rinker, Tyson Smith, and Madeline Sterenberg.
The evening began with a procession of students into the auditorium, followed by a welcome, and introduction of current members by Morrison High School Principal Cory Bielema.
NHS members Abigail Coons, Anna Rinker, Emily Henson, Anthony Fulton, and Chloe Bielema spoke about the purpose of the National Honor Society and the themes of service, leadership, scholarship, and character. Jazmine Callan and Madeline Sterenberg introduced current and new members. They presented each NHS member with a pin and certificate recognizing his or her membership in NHS.
Anna Mickley congratulated the new members, and T. C. Ottens led attendees in the National Honor Society Pledge. Tyson Smith concluded the ceremony by inviting all guests to a reception in the cafeteria featuring cake and punch, following the group photo on the Auditorium stage.

Seniors inducted were Alexandria Bullard, Ashton Smith, and Aaron Wolf.
