For the second night in a row, the Riverdale Lady Rams and the Morrison Fillies competed on the Softball diamond. Following a 10-0, four-inning loss on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, the Morrison Fillies hosted the Rams, with hopes of a better showing on Wednesday, May 5, at the Morrison, IL, Sports Complex.
The Rams opened the first inning with the first seven batters reaching base, with hits against Morrison starter Jordan Eads. The inning ended with eight runs scored.
The second inning saw the Rams add six more runs to the scoreboard, while the Fillies’ offense struggled. Only Eades reached base with solid line drives in her two times at bat.
Marissa Folkers replaced Eades on the mound in the third inning. She held the Rams to only two runs in the next two innings, to end the 16-0 win by the visiting Rams.
