The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Merit Commission is accepting applications for 9-1-1 Dispatchers, with positions in Morrison, and Sterling, IL. Applications will be accepted through May 28, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. Starting pay is $17 per hour.
Applicants must have, or pass, the following requirements.
1. Must be 18 years of age at time of application and provide proof of birth date with application.
2. High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate is required.
3. Must have at least 20/50 binocular vision without glasses, correctable to 20/20 with glasses, and shall not be color blind.
4. Must pass background check, which will include polygraph and psychological examination; physical, and drug screening.
Education, expertise, and skills will be considered in screening the applicant for testing.
The testing for the list will be a written test. (Credit will be given for military service if a copy of DD214 form is provided at time of application.)
