On Friday, April 23, 2021, at approximately 12:14 a.m., Whiteside County Deputies were called to Deer Run Road in rural Sterling, IL, for a report of a vehicle on fire. On fire was a 1995 Chevrolet pickup.
As a result of the investigation, Shannon L. Weinrich, 43, of Sterling was arrested, charged with Arson, and transported to Whiteside County Jail.
Deputies were assisted on scene by the Sterling Fire Department.
This report is merely a charge, and she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
