The Thomson, IL, Lions Club virtually voted to donate over $2000 for new Bell Covers for the brass instruments of West Carroll High School. The accesseries are used to cover the open, bell parts of brass instrument. These help to protect the player and audience from the spreading of germs during the COVID-19 virus crisis.
Emily Bressler, Band Instructor, requested the covers when asked how the Lions could help with the music program. Covers were designed by Bressler and are washable.
The Lions Club also gave $200 to the Thomson Depot Museum’s school exhibit, in memory of Lion Lewis Frosch, Past Vice President.
