Linda K. Vanderlaan, 74, of Morrison, IL, died Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Pleasant View Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, in Morrison.
Linda was born April 23, 1946, in Clinton, IA, to Elmer and Lois (Brondyke) Norman. She attended Garden Plain grade school and was a graduate of Fulton High School. Linda married David Vanderlaan on December 1, 1979, in Morrison. She was employed for 45 years at Anderson Peat Company which became Hyponex and is now Scotts Company. Linda was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include four stepchildren, Dale (Michelle) Vanderlaan of Oak Park, IL, Doug (Renee) Vanderlaan, Dawn (Scott) Meurs, and Darwin (Lisa) Vanderlaan all of Morrison; eight grandchildren, Stacy (Elliot) Worth, Cassandra (Maxwell Leib) Meurs, Grant and Beau Vanderlaan, Hannah (Bobby) Mathius, Benjamin Vanderlaan, Samantha (Nick) Volckmann, and Cody Vanderlaan; sisters, Pat (Jim) Hartman of Stratford, TX, and Myra Norman of Denver, CO; special nephews, Mark, Kurt, and Derek.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David; brothers, Steven and Kenneth Norman; granddaughter, Amanda Conerly.
A private Family Service will be held at Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, IL, with Ken Renkes officiating.
Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.
A memorial has been established to Ebenezer Reformed Church and the Alzheimer’s Association.
The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
