July 27 Sheriff’s Report

On 7/26/13 at about 6:06 p.m., Whiteside County Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Rte. 40 and Thome Roads, rural Rock Falls, IL.  Investigation revealed a 2003 Kia driven by Audrey R. E. Crossland, 19, of Rock Falls, was traveling eastbound on Thome Road and failed to stop for the posted stop sign.  Her vehicle collided with a northbound 1998 Ford Windstar driven by Timothy E. Dunavin, 71, of Rock Falls.  The force of the collision caused Dunavin’s vehicle to roll into the east ditch where it rested on its side.  Timothy had to be extricated from the vehicle by Fire personnel.  Timothy and his passenger, Betty J. Dunavin, 68, of Rock Falls, and Audrey were transported to CGH Medical Center for injuries.  Audrey was cited for disobeying a stop sign and was released with a Notice to Appear in court.
