The Morrison High School Class of 1993 has organized the first “Strides for Students” 5K Run/Walk event to benefit the Morrison Schools Foundation. It will be held Saturday, August 10, 2013, at Morrison-Rockwood State Park, Morrison, IL. Everyone will receive refreshments, but t-shirts can be guaranteed only for those who preregister. Are you imagining the hills through the park? Be assured that the course will avoid them. The planning committee chose “a fairly flat and fast, paved, looped course through the campgrounds, with no turnarounds.” Walkers are encouraged to participate.
As are persons from the “15 and Under” group through the “75 and Over” division. Fourteen groups will see awards for first-through-third placings for males and females.
Overall male and female winners will be awarded.
A special award will be given to top male and female Morrison High School alumni.
All proceeds will be donated to the MSF.
