Unfortunately, the annual Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and Mounted Patrol Fishing Derby will not be able to take place this year. We simply are not able to meet the parameters required to safely host the event, in accordance with State guidelines.
“Sheriff John Booker stated, “This cancellation will mark the first time in over 40 years we won’t be fishing with the kids this fall. That just means it will be bigger and better next year. Fish on!”
