On Wednesday, April 22, 2020, Dave Keefer, below right, presented a $1000 donation to Morrison Community Hospital, 303 N. Jackson Street, Morrison, IL. Keefer represents Local Union 25 Plumbers and Pipefitters, based in Rock Island, IL. The Union is working on the major expansion of the hospital.
He said Local Union 25 recognizes that medical facilities are struggling financially, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and they wanted to help alleviate some of those shortfalls. He visited CHG Medical Center after this stop and made a donation from the Local Union 25 members.
Marketing Director Mick Welding, left, accepted the check. He noted the funds will be used to purchase personal protective equipment for hospital staff.
“We are very grateful for the donation from LMCC Local 25. We are thankful also for the quality work their laborers are performing in our expansion project,” he stated.
