June 5 Sheriff’s Office Arrests

These arrests are merely a charge, and he/she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

6-02-20 at 8:17 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies, Sterling Fire, and CGH EMS responded to a two-vehicle, personal-injury crash at the intersection of Freeport and Fulfs Roads.  A vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Sterling, IL, male was eastbound on Fulfs and failed to yield for a southbound vehicle driven by Tresa J. Grobe, age 68 of Sterling.  Tresa was transported by CGH EMS to CGH Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.  The 17-year-old male was cited for Failure to Yield & Stop [at an] Intersection and given a mandatory court date.  Sterling Fire, CGH EMS, Illinois State Police, and Slim-n-Hank’s Towing assisted on scene.

6-02-20 at 12:33 p.m.  Kayla J. Magana, age 26 of Dixon, IL, was stopped for Speeding on Interstate 88 at milepost 44.  Magana was cited for Speeding 26-to-34 MPH over the posted speed limit (102/70 MPH.)  She was release with a Promise to Comply for a mandatory court date on August 17, 2020.

6-02-20 at 12:52 p.m.  Miguel A. Sotelo Carrillo, age 38 of Melrose Park, IL, was stopped for Speeding on Interstate 88 at milepost 44.  Sotelo was cited for Speeding 83/70 MPH and No Valid Driver’s License, before being bonded with an I-bond for court in Morrison, IL, on August 17, 2020.

6-03-20 at 8:18 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle in the area of 1st Ave and 1st Street, Rock Falls, IL.  The suspect disobeyed the audible sirens and lights and led Deputies, Rock Falls Police Officers, and Sterling Police Officers on a vehicle chase through Rock Falls and into Sterling, IL.  The driver, Austin J. Collin, age 23 of Rock Falls, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, three counts of Aggravated Fleeing to Elude, No Valid Driver”s License, two counts of Disobeying Traffic Control Devices, and Driving with Suspended Registration.  Collin was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where he was held in lieu of court.  Assisting on scene was Rock Falls Police Department, Sterling Police Department, Illinois State Police, and Slim-n-Hank’s Towing.

6-03-20 at 1:17 p.m.  Nicholas T. Lofgren, age 40 of Bettendorf, IA, was stopped for Speeding in Prophetstown, IL.  Lofgren was cited for Speeding 46/30 MPH and Driving While License Suspended.  He was released with an I-bond pending court in Morrison, IL, on August 6, 2020.

6-03-20 at 2:45 p.m.  Anthony M. Incesti, age 20 was stopped for Speeding on Interstate 88 at milepost 28.  Incesti was cited for Speeding 26-to-34 MPH over the posted speed limit (98/70 MPH) and Improper Lane Usage.  He was released on a Promise to Comply.

6-03-20 at 3:30 p.m.  Charles T. Freeman, age 29 of Racine, WI, was stopped on Interstate 88 for Speeding.  Freeman was arrested for Speeding 85/70 MPH, Possession of Adult Use Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle, and Unlawful Possession of Weapon.  Freeman was released with an I-bond pending court on August 17, 2020.

6-03-20 at 4:20 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies, Fulton Police, Fulton Fire, and Fulton EMS responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries, on U. S. Route 30 at Acker Road.  Upon investigation, a vehicle driven by Anthony M. Ray, age 28 of Clinton, IA, was eastbound on U. S. Route 30 and waiting for traffic to clear, so he could turn north onto Acker Road.  Anthony’s vehicle was rear-ended by an eastbound vehicle, driven by a 17-year-old Morrison, IL, male.  The 17-year-old was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed, and Anthony was cited for No Valid Driver’s License.  Both drivers and the occupants in the 17-year-old driver’s vehicle refused medical treatment on scene.

6-04-20 at 1:40 p.m.  Paul A. Molina, age 22 of Park Ridge, IL, was stopped for Speeding on Interstate 88 at milepost 23.  Molina was cited for Speeding 26-to-34 MPH over the posted speed limit (97/70 MPH) and Improper Lane Usage.  He was released with an I-bond.

6-05-20 at 2:39 p.m.  Wieslaw Lisiecki, age 62 of Franklin Park, IL, was stopped for Speeding on Interstate 88 at milepost 40.  He was cited for Speeding 26-to-34 MPH over the posted speed limit (96/70 MPH) and released with a Promise to Comply.

6-05-20 at 3:20 p.m.  Deputies responded to Dollar Tree at 301 Avenue G, in Sterling, IL, for a male subject throwing things in the store.  Once on scene, Deputies took James M. Ford, age 31 of Rock Falls, IL, into custody.  During the investigation, it was learned that Ford had a Failure to Appear Warrant from Davenport, IA, Police Department.  Ford was arrested and transported to the Whiteside County Jail, pending bond or extradition to Scott County, IA.  Sterling Police Department handled the case at Dollar Tree, and Rock Falls Police also assisted on scene.
