Parks and Recreation Coordinator Katie Selburg reported the “Parks and Recreation Advisory Board [has] made the decision to postpone our next advisory board meeting to…Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at 7:00 p.m., at City Hall,” 200 W. Main Street, Morrison, IL, in the lower-level Conference Room.
“All Morrison Parks are still open at this time for people to walk on trails, etc., but all playgrounds have been closed. Morrison Police will be monitoring all parks, periodically, for people [who do] not adhere to the safe, social distancing guidelines. Luckily, we do not have any official recreation activities scheduled this spring.” The Advisory Board will reevaluate the start of summer activities as those dates come closer.
