Daniel J. Knorr, age 67, died at home in Rock Falls, IL, on Thursday, February 13, 2020.
Daniel was born on November 1, 1952, in Moline, IL, the son of Arnold and Marilyn (Schauland) Smith. He was a handyman having worked several construction jobs, building everything from gazebos, to houses, as well as for the Burlington Northern Railroad. Daniel was an avid collector of many things including guns, fishing poles, knives, antiques, stories, and great friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Marissa (Nick) Gaab of Galena, IL; sister, Marlo (Andy) Pape of Morrison, IL; brothers, Mike (Barb) Knorr of Rock Falls and David Smith of Clinton, IA; two granddaughters, Keeley and Dezirae Schultz; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 9:30-11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at the McDonald Funeral Home in Fulton, IL.
A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Al Pruis of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
