Morrison Chief of Police Brian Melton reports the following Arrests made and Citations issued since Friday, January 31, 2020.
Arrests: On Thursday, January 30, 2020, at approximately 8:29 p.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Ricardo A. Diaz, age 29 of Morrison, IL. Upon making the traffic stop, Diaz fled from the vehicle on foot. Diaz was quickly apprehended by the Fulton Police K-9 Unit. Morrison Police arrested and charged Diaz with Driving While License Suspended and Resisting a Peace Officer. Diaz was also held pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Scott County, IA, for Dangerous Drugs. Diaz was transported to the Whiteside County Jail. Morrison Police were assisted by the Illinois State Police, Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, and Fulton Police (K-9 Unit.)
On Friday, January 31, 2020, at approximately 11:20 p.m., Morrison Police responded to a domestic dispute at 604 S. Jackson Street, Morrison, IL. As a result of the investigation, Morrison Police arrested and charged Tyler R. Engelkins, age 32 of Morrison, with Criminal Damage to Property. Engelkins was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, after he was treated for minor injuries by Morrison Community Hospital Emergency Medical Services.
