Victoria “Vicky” I. Humphrey, 75, of Morrison, IL, died Saturday, January 11, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Vicky was born July 17, 1944, in Sterling, IL, to Alton L. and Fern A. (Frankfother) Bramm. She was educated at St. Mary’s Grade School and Newman High School in Sterling. Vicky married Allen L. Humphrey on February 23, 1974, in Morrison. He died April 23, 1997. She was employed by the Morrison American Legion Restaurant and Spencer’s Automotive in Morrison. Vicky was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church, where she served as the UMW Treasurer and was a member of the church’s Bell Choir. She was active in the Stephen Ministry and served as a member and Secretary of the Finance Committee. Vicky enjoyed reading, summertime, baking cookies, taking “Lucky” for walks, watching Tori at the Special Olympics competitions, and spending time with her family. She was known to her grandchildren as “Grandma Cookie.” Vicky is forever a Cubs and Bears fan.
Survivors include daughter, Kim (Bruce) Hunter of Morrison; son, Kent (Audrey) Humphrey of Morrison; grandchildren, Mitchell, Daniel, and Victoria “Tori” Humphrey; step-grandchildren, Jamie (Jason) Huggins and Kate Jakubs; great-grandchildren, Kailyn and Karleigh Humphrey; step-great-grandchildren, Gracyn and Brynlee Huggins and Mikadyn Jakubs; sister, Donna Wolf of Dixon, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen; brother-in-law, Robert Wolf.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 17, 2020, at Morrison United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Noah Panlilio officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2020, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison., IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Whiteside County Relay for Life, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Morrison United Methodist Church, or Mercy One Hospice in Clinton, IA.
