The combined Sunday School of Morrison United Methodist and First Presbyterian Churches will present their Christmas program on Sunday, December 15, 2019, at 3:00 p.m., in the Morrison United Methodist sanctuary, 200 W. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL. Please note the newly scheduled time. The community is cordially invited to attend this delightful event.
“The Birth of Jesus,” directed by Jenny Patton, is a traditional pageant, centered around the manger and the ancient story of Jesus’s coming to Earth on Christmas. Narrators Holden Paisley and Annabelle Blevins tell the beloved Bible story, with comments from the Head Angel, Katie Mahaffey, about reactions of the angels, shepherds, and wise men. Familiar carols sung by all the children sweetly compliment the pageant.
Scenery is the traditional stable and manger scene with accent lighting. Special lighting down the aisle will highlight each child as his/her character enters the sanctuary. William Patton is both the lighting and sound designer.
Organist Pat Cassens will open the program with a medley of Christmas music and accompany the children. Pastor Noah Panlilio will conclude the program with a Christmas solo.
A bag of Christmas goodies will be given to all children.
Come share the Christmas story with both congregations on Sunday, December 15, beginning at 3:00.
