Lucille C. Ryan, 78, of Morrison, IL, died Sunday, November 24, 2019, at Resthave Care & Rehabilitation in Morrison.
Lucille was born September 11, 1941, in Newton, IL, to Francis and Lila (Redell) Stone. She was educated in the Prophetstown Grade School and attended Prophetstown High School. Lucy married Eugene Ryan, Sr. on July 7, 1962, in Morrison. She was a homemaker, staying home to care for her farm and her children. Lucy enjoyed being outdoors; she especially liked going out to hunt morel mushrooms. She enjoyed fishing. She loved cooking and canning, especially for others, and loved hosting holiday meals and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene, Sr.; daughters, Anastasia (Mark) Wierema of Fulton, IL, and Elizabeth Erickson of Morrison; sons, Eugene (Char Johnson) Ryan, Jr. of Sterling, IL, Anthony (Jessica) Ryan of Morrison, Patrick (Kathy) Ryan of La Marque, TX, and Paul Ryan of Morrison; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann Duuck of Clinton, IA; brothers, Larry (Barb) Stone and Francis (Kathy) Stone both of Lyndon, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Nancy Church, Frances Oleson, and Judy Michaels.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2019, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, with Rev. Father Slawomir Zimodro, Pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Morrison, IL, officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 29, 2019, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Clyde Cemetery in rural Morrison, IL.
A memorial to the Morrison Friends Food Pantry has been established.
