Scott “Red” Brady, 56, of Morrison, IL, died Friday, November 22, 2019, at Rock River Hospice and Home in Sterling, IL.
Scott was born May 20, 1963, in Morrison, to Roger M. and Mary Jo (Port) Brady. He was educated in the Morrison grade schools and was a 1981 graduate of Morrison High School. He attended Joliet Junior College, and in 1984 he received an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts. Scott worked as a sous-chef in many fine restaurants in Ohio, Florida, Texas, Illinois, and Iowa. He also worked for APG in Morrison. Scott enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Roger (Nancy) Brady of Erie, PA; sister, Jane Brady of Morrison; brothers, Craig (Becky) Brady and Steve Brady, both of Morrison; nephew, Matthew Brady of San Antonio, TX; nieces, Shayna Brady of San Antonio and Stephanie Miles of Portland, OR.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jo, and his grandparents.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, officiated by Ken Renkes.
A visitation will precede the service, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, IL.
A memorial to Rock River Hospice Home has been established.
