Shirley Paddock Wells, 92 of Sterling, IL, died Tuesday, November 19, 2019.
Shirley was born on August 19, 1927, in Tampa, FL, the daughter of Ward and Grace (Myers) Paddock. She married Keith E. Wells on April 3, 1948, in Illinois. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1991. Shirley was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling, a past member of the Altar and Rosary Society, and active in several other parish ministries. She was part of the Secular Franciscan Order, Associate of the Clinton, IA, Franciscan.
Survivors include daughters, Susan (Gary Speer) Wells of Houston, TX, Barbara Wells of Sterling, and Patricia Otten of Sterling; son Marty (Deb) Wells of Morrison, IL; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Bill Paddock; sisters, Arnett Cranberg and Jean Gallagher.
Visitation will be Friday, November 22, 2019, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, IL.
Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home with Reverend Slawomir Zimodro, officiating.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant View Nursing & Rehabilitation in Morrison, IL.
