Grace L. Beswick, 90, of Morrison, IL died Sunday, November 17, 2019, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL.
Grace was born September 8, 1929, in Morrison, to Frank and Stella (Marschang) Bartz. She attended the Gridley School in Ustick Township and was a graduate of Morrison High School. On February 2, 1949, she married Richard H. “Dick” Beswick in Morrison. Grace worked at General Electric Co. in Morrison for almost 30 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of the GEM Club and liked to golf, crochet, and play Pinochle. Grace enjoyed square dancing with her husband and loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Dick; daughters, Kathleen (Robert) Barsema of Fulton, IL, and Sandra Ludington of Amarillo, TX; sons, Michael (Mary) Beswick of Morrison, William (Barbara) Beswick of Morrison, and John (Jodi) Beswick of Morrison; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Irene Beswick and Helen Yoeckel; brother, Francis Bartz.
Funeral services are at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 21, 2019, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Winkelman officiating.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.
A memorial has been established.
